Review: Badrinath Ki Dulhania is a rucksack of fun comedy and it has also handled the social issues cautiously.
The back drop is set in the small town Jhansi and Kota, which traditional systems are still at a high. In this Badrinath (Varun Dhawan), is in pursuit of bride and spots Vaidehi (Alia Bhatt) at a marriage function.
From that day, the chase starts between and Vaidehi refuses to bow down to the society pressure of dowry.
Her character depiction in the movie is strong and feminist and her character is the backbone of the movie too.
This movie touches the all aspects of the fused traditional and modern society, gender issue, feminism, consent etc. the good part about the Vaidehi character is that she is emotionally strong.
Climax of the movie is predicted and might be after sitting for two and half hours, it can be taxing but the hilarious lines in between that keep you intact.
But one thing is there, the chemistry between Varun and Alia are awesome and their instant tuning is also vibrant.
