Beat the Heat with these Summer Foods

Summer in India is sweaty affair, especially in north india because it is very hottest part of india. So it is very important to take proper diet in summer to beat the diseases like dehydration, diarrhea, vomiting etc. Water may become your best friend to fight with dehydration but it is not enough because our body requires a special diet to keep our system cool.

So beat the heat with these foods to keep your body cool in summer:

  • Watermelon:

Watermelon is the richest source of lycopene which protects skin from sunburn and UV rays. It contains Vitamin B6 and 92 percent of water and 8 per cent sugar which makes it best fruit for summer.

  • Apricots:

Apricot contains iron, vitamin C, potassium and high source of fibre which is very beneficial for skin.

  • Corn:

Corn is a very essential source of energy because it provides fiber, folate, thiamin, phosphorus, vitamin C and magnesium, which helps in the prevention of anemia. Corn also contains rich amount of iron which helps in formation of new red blood cells.
