Meditation is the technique that balances mind, it is the similar way when the body is trained by the exercise and similarly mind is trained by the meditation techniques.

There are so many meditation techniques but which will you learn and how it will benefit you?

Meditation gives you a deep rest from the stressful and hectic life. In today’s world we have adopted the lifestyle which is very hectic and we hardly get to time for ourselves. In the Buddhist tradition, mediation is known as Sports. It is a activity not a single thing so when we have meditation, we have numerous things in our hand not a single one.

Suppose we are beginner, then it becomes extremely tough for us to sit for hours and our mind often wanders off and the problem of concentration arises. This is overcome by practice technique and the most common approach to the meditation is concentration.

Concentration mediation is the key, to focus on single point and that focal point is not diverted.

  1. Concentration Meditation: In this you are focusing on the single point, it can be done by reciting the mantra or simply staring at the candle or counting beads or mala. When you start performing this the mind becomes restless after few minutes only but it is necessary to bring it back to the core. It is challenging and you need to practice a lot to become a master. Initially, you should start with few minutes and then gradually begun with longer durations. The key is to let go the random thoughts, this improves the ability to concentrate on single focal point.

  1. Mindful Meditation: In this, the practitioner is said to observe the wandering thoughts and let them drift away. In the words, doesn’t be part of the drama as it is your body which is involve but not your mind and soul. You simple sit and watch your thoughts but be aware of each mental note that arises in this process.You will observe how our thoughts and feelings develop in the particular pattern and how the mind react quickly to feeling of good and bad just like the feeling of hot and cold. The human tendency you will see is quickly to come to conclusions and it also we easily react to all the situation in a fraction of second.This technique helps us in achieving inner balance of mind.

Daily Meditation: There are various meditation technique by the various schools of thought and the technique of mediation by Swami Vivekananda, a renowned saint which propagated mediation thorough the lectures and practical lessons. in which he stressed on the concentration of mind and the initiation should be some object in the mind .According to him, we should do the self appraisal of the thoughts and the purity of mind can be achieved by the regular practice.
