Delhi University Student Beaten a Man to Death: The Man Stopped him from Peeing in Open
An e-rickshaw driver was beaten to death by after he tried to stop two youths from urinating in public in Northwest Delhi yesterday.
The incident took place around 8 pm near GTB metro station. According to police, deceased Ravinder was having his lunch near GTB metro station when he saw two men urinating in public.
Ravinder rebuked and asked them not to do so, police said. The two youths left only to come back in the evening searching for Ravinder. The youths were said to be in inebriated condition.
“I saw him walking towards the duo, who were both holding beer cans. Ravinder asked them not to urinate there and dirty the place as all of us sat there to have lunch every day. When they started arguing, he pulled out a few coins from his pocket and asked them to take the money and pay for using the toilet. Angered by his gesture, they pulled his collar and threatened him with dire consequences,” said Manoj, an eyewitness.
