TOP 9 HAUNTED RAILWAY STATIONS IN THE WORLD

2’o clock in the night; I just stepped out of the train. It was completely dark outside and only few people were there on the station. I felt like something is moving beside me, like a shadow. I got scared and saw death ghost hovering around me.

1. Bishan MRT Station, Singapore:

Built on the site of the former Bi Shan Teng cemetery, Bishan was started in 1987 as a full-fledge train station.

Several times, maintenance workers have reported seeing apparitions like headless figures, coffin bearers walking on the tracks. The most horrific incident, took place in 1990, when a woman fainted, the moment she left the train. She reported to the onlookers that as soon as she exited from the train, unseen hands groped her and after that she didn’t remembered a thing.

2. Macquarie Fields Train Station, Australia:
It is said that this station is haunted by a ghost of a teenage girl and many people have seen her at late night.  The girl dresses in the dancing clothes walks around the Macquarie Fields station screaming clutching her chest covered in blood.

3. Addiscombe Railway Station, England:

A train driver was killed in 1900s roamed the area and it is perhaps he who is the grey figure with blurred features seen walking among the sheds; specifically around Siding No. 4 where a water boiler had in the past exploded, killing workers.

4. Panteones Metro Station, Mexico:

In the tunnel between Panteones and Tacuba stations, ghostly figures knocks on the walls have been heard and shadowy lumps appear and disappear when workers approach them.

There’s a video made in 2009 that appears to show train engineers hearing screams further along the track.

5. Union Station, Phoenix, USA:

This station was closed in 1995, is home to a poltergeist named Fred that still has offices at the station. Fred,allegedly lives in the attic, a room other employees never enter, and is always spotted running away from the employees.

6.    Barog Station, Shimla:

This railway station tunnel frequently sees paranormal activity. The tunnel was constructed by Colonel Barog, an

engineer who committed suicide after being humiliated in front of his workers. It is believed that he shot himself while taking a stroll and after that he was buried near the tunnel, which was then incomplete.

7. Caobao Road Subway Station, China:

A girl was spotted for few days after she committed suicide, just sitting on a platform seat. A woman’s voice has been heard laughing along the darkness of the railway tracks.

8. Waterfront Station, Canada:

A guard came face to face with the shining white ghost of an old woman who reached out to him as he came towards her on the platform. In a fright, the guard ran from the room.

9. Begunkodor Train Station,India:

The railway station was closed in 1967, when a staff member died after spotting a woman’s ghost in white saree.

Some people also says that “If the living are haunted by the dead, then the dead are haunted by their own mistakes.”
